About Guzzle
Hey, y’all! I’m Mary.
Why I started Guzzle
This video series is very personal to me because when I was fresh out of college, I knew very little about money (except that overdraft fees were expensive), so I was totally unprepared for what was about to happen.
Suddenly my father, his brother and his parents all passed away in a short period of time, leaving me the executor of four "estates" — a word that I'd never even heard of.
That alone was enough to navigate, but after learning to read financial statements and tax law, I discovered an even bigger challenge: money was missing.
Well, it wasn't missing. A financial adviser had written himself checks from my grandfather's account. The worst part: my granddad was diagnosed with dementia at the time.
Which is how I ended up suing one of the world's biggest investment firms and learning just how cruel and common financial fraud is.

Guzzle’s mission
Look, we all know there are plenty of financial predators out there.
Fake gurus whispering sweet B.S. into the feeds of folks facing hard times. Random phone numbers texting phishing links with made-up threats. Influencers with too much Facetune claiming that you, too, could make six figures in a month.
I started the Guzzle series to call these scammers out, investigate suspicious tactics, and educate people on red flags that could prevent major financial harm.
